Monsieur et Madame, private kosher chef and caterer in Val d’Isère

We take over your chalet kitchen in the Haute-Tarentaise and turn every holiday meal into a gourmet occasion, in keeping with Jewish dietary laws.

Fabien’s classic expertise meets Lory’s eclectic cooking, shaped by travel and faraway markets. Friday couscous, reinvented gefilte fish, spiced slow-cooked lamb or delicately pearly fish: their kosher menus tell a family story with a decidedly contemporary twist.

Kashrut is planned well before the first meal is served. Together, we agree on the certifications you accept, how utensils are handled and how meat and dairy are kept separate, and we can bring in a mashgiach if your family requests it.

While you race down the Face de Bellevarde or stroll through the old village, your chefs take care of the shopping, cooking, service and clean-up.

A vegetarian guest, an allergy, children with very particular tastes? The menus adapt with ease.

Kosher breakfast in Val d’Isère

A gentle wake-up, snow outside the picture window and a dairy table already laid: brioche and sourdough breads, certified butter and cheeses, homemade compotes and jams, porridge, fruit salad, freshly squeezed juices, frittata, bourekas or French toast.
Skiers in a hurry head out with a quick, energising option, while everyone else takes their time. Your chef puts together a menu that suits each guest.

Gourmet kosher après-ski in Val d’Isère

The day on the slopes is over: time for comfort. Your chef is waiting with Viennese hot chocolate, mint tea, walnut cake, cookies fresh from the oven, sfenj or crêpes, and a few savoury bites such as warm bourekas or a homemade broth.

Your après-ski spread is prepared dairy or pareve depending on the evening’s plans, so the required waiting time before a meat dinner is respected.

To drink, spiced mulled wine, a selection of kosher wines or a cocktail created for the occasion set the tone for an evening that begins by the fire.

Kosher dinner and Shabbat in Val d’Isère

Each evening, choose the mood: a big, convivial table where dishes are passed from hand to hand, a classic starter, main and dessert dinner, or a tasting menu to mark a highlight of your stay. Certified meats and poultry, carefully selected fish, and pareve desserts as indulgent as traditional pastries.

For Shabbat, all meals are cooked on Friday before the holy day begins: challot, Kiddush, an assortment of salads, spiced fish, meats and sides kept warm, followed by Saturday lunch and seudah shlishit (the third meal) all ready to serve.
Hanukkah during your holiday? We prepare doughnuts, latkes and a festive dinner around the hanukkiah.
